Pellet stoves are divided into two large families: AIR or WATER (hydro).
In the air versions , the heat exchange with the environment takes place either by natural convection or by forced ventilation, by means of which the heating takes place through a circle of hot air which is conveyed by one or more fans. DIMENSION OF THE ROOMS
When choosing the type of stove, we must understand the dimensions of the rooms to be heated, taking into account not only the surface area, but above all the type of insulation that the walls and ceiling have, since the greater the insulation, the less of stove power.
In the air versions, another important data will be the positioning of the stove in the room. Bear in mind that the thrust of the hot air normally comes out from the front of the machine, we must consider that if, for example, we want to heat the sleeping area even a little, we will have to try to position the stove as frontally as possible to the door that leads to such rooms.
FLUE
Another element to keep in mind is the flue (always necessary), which according to European legislation must always reach the top of the roof.
The diameter then depends on its length (up to 6 meters and classic 2 curves) and must be at least 8 cm, increasing if the length is greater or there are more curves.
It is also advisable not to exceed 3-4 meters in the horizontal sections (it must always have a minimum slope towards the outside).
